Learn To Be Expressive

1. Just say it.
Now hear this: No one can read your mind and they shouldn't have to. Open your mouth and say something if you are interested. Be honest and open because what do you have to lose? You may have just met this person and, if you don't communicate clearly, you'll lose even more.

2. Stop, turn and listen
Stop listening for what you want to hear and pay attention to what the other person is saying. It can save a lot of heartache and drama. And when you hear something reaffirming, provide confirmation so that your date knows you are listening and not off thinking of something else.

3. Actions speak louder than words
Show you care and do little things that show it! From calling to ask how the day was ... sending a sweet note, it's the thought that counts.

4. It's not what you say, but how you say it
She/he's only hearing 10 percent of what you are saying, but it's your body language that is saying it all. Show you care with a big smile and open arms.

5. There's no such thing as a poker face
Relationships are built upon trust and honesty. It's the bedrock that keeps things stable, whereas lies breed deception and resentment -- guilt too. And people can see it on your face regardless what card you deal.
